It is very important for student to have a safe and effective learning environment. If you have students with walking disability you may need to have ramp access or electric doors for students to easily get around like the other students. You want them to feel the same as all the other students. If they are having difficulty getting around the classroom they may become frustrated or not be as connected to the other students.
If you have students with anger problems you may need an area designed for the safety of them and your other students for example a spot in the room with items that are unable to be thrown or moved to hurt themselves or others. This area should also be somewhere it will not distract the rest of the students learning but, be able for the angered student to leave if wanted and still be supervised.
Students with disabilities should be treated the same as students without. If you make their disability standout they will feel left out and different. Students do not usually want to be the odd one in the class. So the easier it is for them to be like everyone else the more positive and accepting they will be toward you as a teacher and the other students.
It is good to discuss disabilities so the other students know what is going on but, don't make the student feel different. Do not point them out directly unless they are the ones to mention something about themselves. Make them feel as comfortable and normal as all the other students.
